Belmont

Belmont is a quietly beautiful town built upon rolling hills that give residents amazing views of the peninsula. Belmont’s rich history dates back to William Ralston, the founder of the Bank of California and builder of the Palace Hotel in San Francisco, who built his exquisite summer residence, Ralston Hall, at the current site of Notre Dame University. The estate is a splendid merger of Victorian, Italianate and Steamboat Gothic architectural styles. Residents enjoy two commercial centers with plenty of shopping and dining options and excellent public schools.
